Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you wanted to know about Bilonaa A2 bilona ghee.

What is Bilonaa ghee?

Bilonaa ghee is pure A2 cow ghee made the traditional Vedic bilona way — earthen-pot curd, hand-churned with a wooden bilonaa, slow-cooked on a wood fire, and packed in food-grade glass jars in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Is Bilonaa ghee 100% pure and lab-tested?

Yes. Every batch is FSSAI certified (Lic. 10024051002604) and lab-tested for purity, fatty acid profile and the absence of vanaspati, palm oil and adulterants. We also offer a 100% refund Purity Challenge if your jar fails the home purity test.

Which cows do you source milk from?

Only indigenous A2 desi breeds — Gir, Sahiwal, Rathi and Tharparkar — that graze freely on open Rajasthan pastures. No hormones, no antibiotics, no stall-feeding.

How does Bilonaa ghee taste?

Deep nutty aroma, granular (daanedaar) texture in cool weather, golden colour when warmed, and a clean grass-like finish. It tastes like the ghee your grandmother used to make.

How should I use Bilonaa ghee at home?

Drizzle on hot rotis, mix in dal and khichdi, temper your sabzi tadka, deep-fry pooris, or take a spoon in warm milk before bed. 1–2 teaspoons daily is the Ayurvedic recommendation.

How should I store Bilonaa ghee?

Keep the glass jar in a cool, dry place — no refrigeration needed. Always use a clean, dry spoon. Sealed shelf life is 9 months; once opened, finish within 6 months.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes — we ship pan-India via tracked courier. Most metro orders arrive in 2–4 days, smaller towns in 4–7 days. Glass jars are bubble-wrapped and double-boxed for safe delivery.

What is your return / refund policy?

If your jar arrives damaged or you are not satisfied, contact us within 7 days for a free replacement or full refund. See our Shipping and Return policies for details.

How do I check the purity of ghee at home?

Pure bilonaa ghee melts on the palm instantly, smells nutty and grass-like, sets into a grainy texture in winter, and turns golden — not pale yellow — when warmed. A teaspoon dropped into hot water should melt and float as clear oil with no residue.

Is Bilonaa ghee suitable for babies, pregnant women and elders?

Yes. Pure A2 bilonaa ghee is traditionally given to infants (after 8 months), expectant mothers and elders to support digestion, immunity and joint health. Always consult your paediatrician or doctor for personalised advice.
